FWSA WEBSITE NEWS:  Congratulations association members, October was the first time in recorded history where FSWA.COM had more than 1000 visitors pass through our web site! 

We need your HELP in reviewing the 30-year anniversary of FWSA video posted on Facebook and Vimeo under 'Fort Worth Songwriters Association'.  Please review and give us a 'Like' thumbs up.  Please ask your friends and family to help us with the 'Likes" on both site when you/theyreview the video.

As the Webmaster of the FWSA website you might be surprised to know that our monthly visitor numbers have almost doubled in the past year but there is still room to grow our viewership.  Please know that this is your website, not mine, not the Board of Directors.  The website is the member’s website. 

With that in mind, you might also be surprised to know that I only receive an average of 3 constructive comments a month and generally, no suggestions or recommendations.  Why not more?  My guess is that the primary reason is viewership, that is, the lack of viewers. 

What information would be of some value to you personally as you practice the art of songwriting?  What topics related to songwriting would be of interest to you? 

Do you participate in the  Open Mic on first and third Mondays of each month?  If not, why?  How can we improve the Open Mic experience?  

What about the FWSA Monthly Gathering on the 3rd Thursday of each month?  Do you attend?  Are you aware of the great educational programs that are part of this gathering?  Just recently, the FWSA invited a local attorney who specializes in the music business who spent almost 2 hours describing the pros and cons of the copyright.  The Gathering also provides each member with an opportunity to have their lyrics evaluated by their peers. 

The purpose of this short missive is to encourage each member to participate in making the FWSA Website a meaningful place to hang out.  Take a look and let me know what you like, dislike, etc…email me at webmaster@fwsa.com.
