NEWS, EVENTS & DONATIONS

FWSA WEBSITE NEWS:  As the Webmaster of the FWSA website you might be surprised to know that our monthly visitor numbers have almost doubled in the past year but there is still room to grow our viewership.  Please know that this is your website, not mine, not the Board of Directors.  The website is the member’s website.

With that in mind, you might also be surprised to know that I only receive an average 3 constructive comments a month and generally, no suggestions or recommendations.  Why not more?  My guess is that the primary reason is viewership, that is, the lack of viewer.

What information would be of some value to you as you practice the art of songwriting?  What topics related to songwriting would be on interest to you?

Do you participate in Open Mic on the first and third Monday of each month?  If no, why?  How can we improve the Open Mic experience?

What about the FWSA Monthly Gathering on the 3rd Thursday of each month?  Do you attend?  Are you aware of the great educational programs that are part of this gathering?  Just recently, the FWSA invited a local attorney who specializes in the music business spend almost 2 hours describing the pros and cons of the copyright.  The Gathering also provided each member with an opportunity have the lyrics evaluated by your peers.

The purpose of this short missive is to encourage each member to participate in making the FWSA Website a meaningful place to hang out.  Take a look and let me know what you like, dislike, etc…email me at webmaster@fwsa.com.
